Leh Ladakh Package: Sindhu Darshan Festival
In India the ancient river Indus is called Sindhu and Sindhu Darshan Festival is celebrated on the banks of river Sindhu in the month of June every year. Sindhu Darshan Festival is celebrated to show that the IndusRiver is an example of communal harmony and peace in India. The festival is one of the major events in Leh Ladakh and invites a large number of tourists from different parts of the world. The festival is organized every year in the Leh. Sindhu Darshan festival was first organized in October 1997. Sindhu Darshan festival is a great way to peep into the culture and diversity of this cold desert nestled between the Himalayan valleys called Ladakh. This also marks the beginning of summer tourist season. The Manali Leh road opens in the month of June after the Rohtang Pass is opened by Indian Army.
